Candiace Dillard reacts to Michael Darby’s defamation suit being droppped
Via @people. Candiace Dillard Bassett of ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ received a positive start to 2024 as a judge in Virginia dismissed the defamation lawsuit filed against her by Michael Darby, the estranged husband of her RHOP co-star Ashley Darby. The lawsuit, initially filed on Feb. 15, 2023, was dismissed with prejudice on Jan. 3, with a final order entered on Jan. 31. The court cited a release signed by Michael, preventing him from pursuing the lawsuit based on his appearance on the Bravo reality series. Candiace, expressing gratitude for divine protection, family support, and her legal team, remarked, “I am incredibly grateful to God for protecting me. I am also grateful for common sense, the support of my family and my incredible legal team for helping the plaintiff to get exactly what he deserves from me: absolutely nothing.” Her legal team, Bynum & Jenkins Law, also expressed honor in defending her against the allegations.
