A 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck near Pasadena, jolting the LA area and beyond. Residents from Los Angeles to San Diego and Ventura felt the quake, with reports of shaking buildings and rattling dishes. ESPN’s live broadcast captured the tremor as it happened, quickly spreading across social media.
The LAPD has advised residents to brace for aftershocks, though no injuries or damage have been reported. Many Californians received alerts on their phones just before the quake hit.
This follows last Tuesday’s 5.2 magnitude quake, the strongest in the state this year, felt during a Dodgers game at Dodger Stadium. On average, California and Nevada experience five quakes of 5.0 to 6.0 magnitude annually
