Trying to block documentary from airing
Wendy Williams’ guardian has filed a lawsuit against Lifetime’s parent company, raising suspicions due to the timing coinciding with an upcoming documentary about her. Sabrina Morrisey, acting as temporary guardian of W.W.H. (presumably Wendy Williams Hunter), filed the suit against A&E Television Networks under seal, keeping the details confidential from the public. The court documents suggest a potential connection to the “Where is Wendy Williams” documentary set to release soon. Morrisey’s request for injunctive relief indicates a possible attempt to block the documentary’s release, especially considering the imminent premiere date. Additionally, she seeks a temporary restraining order, often used to halt the release of film or television projects. Interestingly, the judge ordered the documents to remain sealed temporarily, scheduling a hearing for next week to decide on the matter. While the hearing occurs after the documentary’s release, the court may still consider Morrisey’s request for injunctive relief against A&E. Both Morrisey and A&E have been contacted for comment, with no response from Morrisey and A&E stating they have nothing to address regarding the lawsuit.(Via TMZ)
