Simone Biles Claps Back at Critics and Drops Truth Bombs on Olympic Questions and Hair Comments

Simone Biles, who just became the most decorated American gymnast ever on July 30, spilled some real talk on X.

“Y’all gotta stop asking athletes what’s next right after they win an Olympic medal,” the seven-time gold medalist tweeted.

She doubled down in a follow-up tweet: “Let us soak up the moment we’ve worked our whole lives for.”

Biles has been on fire at the 2024 Paris Olympics, snagging three new gold medals in the women’s gymnastics team final, the all-around final, and the vault final.

Throughout the Games, Biles has been super active on social media, sharing her unfiltered thoughts on everything from Olympic Village food to people criticizing her hair during competitions.

On July 30, she posted an Instagram story showing off her slicked-back ponytail before the women’s gymnastics team final, posing with a handheld fan. “Don’t come for me about my hair,” she wrote. “IT WAS DONE but the bus has NO AC & it’s like 9,0000 degrees.”

In another photo, she’s posing with her eyes closed and the fan in her face, adding, “Gonna hold your hand when I say this: Next time you wanna comment on a black girl’s hair. JUST DON’T.”

Biles also had something to say about controversial comments from former President Donald Trump. She retweeted a post with pics of her gold medal and diamond goat necklace, writing, “I love my black job,” throwing shade at Trump’s comments during a panel hosted by the National Association of Black Journalists and the June presidential debate.

Biles has always been a fierce defender of her husband, Jonathan Owens, especially when he got dragged for saying he was the “catch” in their relationship. This time, she clapped back at critics who were mad about him wearing one of her gold medals.

On July 30, Owens posted an Instagram pic wearing one of Biles’ gold medals, celebrating her accomplishments. But the comment section was full of haters accusing him of stealing her spotlight.

Biles jumped into the convo on August 1, commenting on a TikTok video by Kiera Breaugh. “Crazy thing is, I put my medal on every single one of my family members and took pictures. So don’t ever make assumptions,” she wrote. “Y’all are so f—-ing miserable. Leave us alone.”
