Shocking allegations have emerged as hip-hop moguls Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs are named in a federal lawsuit accusing them of assaulting a 13-year-old girl two decades ago. The anonymous accuser, referred to as “Jane Doe,” claims the assault occurred following an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in 2000.
The lawsuit, initially filed against Combs in October, was refiled on Sunday to include Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter. The plaintiff alleges she was driven to a private party, signed a nondisclosure agreement, and was offered a drugged drink that left her incapacitated. Doe claims Carter and Combs took turns assaulting her while a female celebrity looked on.
In a fiery response, Carter slammed the allegations as “idiotic,” questioning why no criminal charges had been filed. “Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away,” Carter declared in a statement. “I’m not from your world. We don’t play these types of games. We protect children.”
Meanwhile, Combs’ legal team dismissed the accusations as a “shameless publicity stunt” targeting high-profile figures.
The lawsuit paints a grim picture of the events, claiming Doe was lured to the party by a limousine driver who suggested she “fit what Diddy was looking for.” The suit further alleges that after being drugged, Doe was assaulted in a room filled with celebrities and illicit drug use.
The accuser is seeking damages under New York’s Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act. Jay-Z, a Brooklyn native and father of three, expressed heartbreak over the impact on his family. “My wife and I will have to explain the cruelty and greed of people to our children,” he stated.
This case marks yet another bombshell accusation against Combs, who is already facing federal charges for racketeering and sex trafficking, with prosecutors hinting at more charges to come.
As the legal battle unfolds, all eyes are on the hip-hop titans as they vehemently deny the allegations and prepare to face their accuser in court.
