“She wanted a Rihanna moment”
Nicki Minaj continues to take shots at Megan Thee Stallion, accusing her of seeking sympathy during her CBS interview with Gayle King about the Tory Lanez shooting. Joining an X Spaces hosted by Joe Budden, Nicki drew parallels between Meg’s 2022 interview and a 2009 interview Rihanna did after being assaulted by Chris Brown. Minaj claimed Meg portrayed artists like Tory and DaBaby as attention-seeking bad guys and suggested she was aiming for a “Rihanna moment,” emphasizing her perception of Rihanna’s authenticity. Nicki argued that Meg, unlike Rihanna, appears to crave constant sympathy. This adds to the ongoing feud between the two, including Nicki’s controversial comments about Megan’s deceased mother and the release of her diss track “Big Foot” (in response to Megan’s “Hiss” diss track) where she makes fun on Megan hoping on one foot after the other was allegedly shot by Tory lanes at the scene of the crime.
Whether Meg responds remains to be seen while it seems Nicki is seemingly gunning for a reaction. Stay tuned…
