Ingrid Andress, a country music artist, admitted she performed the national anthem while intoxicated during Monday’s 2024 MLB Home Run Derby. She expressed her intention to seek treatment following widespread criticism of her performance.
Taking to her verified social media account on Tuesday, Andress candidly stated, “I’m not going to sugarcoat it, I was drunk last night.” She further announced her decision to check herself into a facility for the necessary assistance, adding, “That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this beloved country for that rendition.”
